Chapter 36.2. The School Is Complete

Ruu and Kuu are complete opposites,

but it seems like they cover each other’s strengths and weaknesses.

At first, I thought Kuu was the older sister, but it turns out Ruu is.

And it's Ruu who is the responsible one, often scolding Kuu from time to time.

Kuu, ever since they first met, has been determined to protect Ruu, and now, she also intends to protect Tina and Nina, who they've become close with.

The four of them are such good kids.

I really hope they grow up healthy and carefree at school.

Lately, I’ve been a bit worried about Noella being their teacher as maids.

Teaching normal maid duties should be fine, but apparently, she’s also drilling them in combat techniques.

Not only that, she’s teaching them “night knowledge” too.

I told her combat skills were fine, but there was no need for the night knowledge, and she curtly replied, “No, it’s necessary.”

Well, I’ll keep an eye on things and hope they pick up some common sense at school.

Also, the four of them attended the entrance ceremony in maid uniforms.

I had prepared normal clothes for them, but they insisted on going in matching maid outfits.

There was talk about creating a school uniform, but without the equipment or money for mass production, the idea was scrapped.

So, all the students wear their own clothes.

And in the midst of that, there are four in maid uniforms.

They stand out a lot.

But they look cute, so I guess it's fine...

By the way, we also considered whether Yuu, Ai, and I should attend school.

But since we’re the ones who created it, we already know the curriculum, and besides, we’re adults on the inside.

The idea of attending school with a bunch of six to twelve-year-olds just didn’t sit right, so we decided against it.

We can never return to those sparkling days of youth.

Sigh.

Well, with that, the entrance ceremony concluded.

The next day, it was time for the trainees from Darmdatt and Fremreela to return to their countries.

They’ll be heading back to build schools and hospitals with the knowledge they've gained here.

The construction of the schools has already begun, and they’ve been trained in the methods of healing magic, so they’ve likely already started training their own healing mages.

Darmdatt and Fremreela will probably open their schools soon, even if a bit delayed.

It’s my job to send them back to their countries using teleportation magic.

But after teleporting to Darmdatt, the former trainees, or rather, they're not trainees anymore, started acting... strangely close.

Their eyes seemed to be glistening.

Did I do something?

“Jun-sama…”

“Yes?”

Kuon approached me as their representative.

When a beauty like Kuon, with tears in her eyes, comes up close like that, it’s a bit nerve-wracking.

I felt a little uncomfortable.

“We’ve been under your care until now. Thanks to you, Jun-sama, I’ve become an advanced healing mage,

and I can now open a hospital in Darmdatt. I’m truly grateful.”

“No, it’s all thanks to your hard work, Kuon. I saw how you worked harder than anyone else.

This is simply the result of that.”

“Thank you. So, um… will we meet again?”

“Uh, yes, of course. If anything happens, contact me. I’ll come flying right over with magic.”

“Thank you, Jun-sama.”

And with that, Kuon hugged me.

Her two impressive melons were pressed tightly against me.

Uh, is this okay?

Is this allowed?

After Kuon stepped away, the other trainees also said their goodbyes with hugs.

Is this a Darmdatt-style greeting?

The men didn’t do it, though.

As I glanced around, I noticed Gaul glaring at me, while Alize, his sister, was smirking nearby.

“You… better not make Ai cry.”

“Wow, Jun, impressive. Are you building a harem?”

I have no such intentions.

I don’t plan on making Ai cry or forming a harem.

Sensing the situation turning awkward, I quickly finished the farewells and returned to Elmbarn, then teleported to Fremreela next.

After arriving via teleportation, Cornelia and Yufa approached me.

“Thanks for everything, Jun.”

“Thank you for all you’ve done.”

“No, I didn’t do much. What will you two do from here?”

Both had only mastered intermediate healing magic, so following Elmbarn’s system, I figured they might become teachers at their new schools.

“Well, first, we’ll consult with Sister Shanze about our future.”

“I see. So, I guess we won’t see each other as often from now on. Take care.”

“Yes, that may be the case. Well then, goodbye.”

There was something a bit cryptic about their tone, but oh well.

And with that, all tasks related to healing magic and school building are finally done!

Hospitals have been established in multiple places, so there’s no need to travel between cities for healing anymore.

I think it’s time to take it easy for a while.
