Twilight Alchemist 66

Test

66. Seeing A Beauty Makes It Hard To Stay Calm, Isn't It?

We immediately headed to the Adventurers Guild.

The Golden Dawn Adventurers Guild was ridiculously huge.

The number of adventurers affiliated with it was unprecedented for a single city.

Not only that, but the guild also boasted several B-rank adventurers, led by Raidoc's party, a level of support you wouldn't find outside the capital.

Having one or two C-rank adventurers affiliated would be considered more than enough.

The size of the building was also extraordinary.

Thanks to Kyle's initiative, the Adventurers Guild in Golden Dawn was provided with a spacious site in a prime location.

Naturally, the building was completed with unheard-of privileges, prioritizing Alchemically Enhanced Stone for construction.

The guild hall, a seven-story structure with a training ground in the courtyard, was truly magnificent.

The Adventurers Guild is an expert corps in monster extermination. Without that recognition, armed groups wouldn't get acknowledged by the country.

Despite being such an important organization, they are often treated rudely by the country and nobles.

But Kyle understands their importance and always seeks equal cooperation.

Given such circumstances, trust in the Adventurers Guild is extremely high.

With that premise, as we arrived at the Adventurers Guild, smiles greeted us from the adventurers who were gathered there.

"Hey! Craft and Leafan! Out searching for materials today?"

"You idiot, with Raidoc here, it's obviously work."

"Ah, I see. If there's anything you two don't understand, just ask us!"

"If there's anything we can do, let us know! Although with Raidoc around, we probably won't be much use!"

"Oh! Not just Kyle-sama. But also Craft and Leafan, we owe you a lot! Feel free to consult with us about anything!"

Two adventurers lounging in the lobby of the Adventurers Guild were having such a foolish exchange. It brought back memories. They must be a good team.

Irrelevant, but call Jitaro's name too. He's feeling slightly down.

As we exchanged greetings with the adventurers casually, Mique, a cat beastman, called out to us from the reception.

"Welcome back, Raidoc-san. Craft-san and Leafan-san are here too!"

"Hey, Mique."

Raidoc lightly waved back at Mique.

Although a beastman, Mique got employed as a staff member at the Adventurers Guild.

Perhaps it's also to appeal to Kyle's strong will to abolish discrimination against beastmen.

But in a world where beastman discrimination still persists in some places, having a beastman at the reception of the guild is heartwarming.

"Raidoc-san, since everyone's here, have you heard about that matter?"

"Yeah. Investigation and mining. And there's the newcomer, if I may. We've been asked to accompany a promising party that recently arrived in Golden Dawn. Did you hear about it, Mique?"

"Hmm. News to me. Wait a moment."

Mique, with cat-like agility, stood up and gracefully retreated into the back.

Soon after, Guild Master Synos Gashule rushed over.

"Sorry to keep you waiting! Craft-sama! Leafan-sama!"

He's probably the Guild Master most grateful to Kyle within the Adventurers Guild. He treats us with utmost courtesy as well.

Despite the size of the guild, it's clear from the fact that the Guild Master personally comes over.

Synos is the younger brother of Urban Gashule, who was the Guild Master before the transfer to Golden Dawn.

Perhaps he also had the intention to appeal to Kyle for coexistence within the Adventurers Guild.

But to us, treated as Kyle's close aides, he extends considerable convenience.

Even rare materials that are usually sold at high prices are sold to us at fair prices.

"Um, I'm here too..."

"Sorry about that. Will Jitaro-san also be accompanying us this time?"

"Yeah! Leave it to me!"

"Thank you. Then, let me introduce you to the Casper Sisters, who are scheduled to accompany you."

"Oh! They must be really beautiful, huh?"

Jitaro, calm down. And maybe don't set the bar too high. Such rumors aren't always reliable.

"Huh? Oh, yeah, they're beautiful. I think."

"Sorry, Guild Master. Please ignore Jitaro."

"Not cool, Craft-san!"

"Just quiet down a bit. It'll only make things more complicated."

"Alright."

He gives in, but Jitaro's expression clearly says, "Hurry up! Hurry up!"

I shrugged and prompted the Guild Master.

"Ah, they're right here in the lobby."

Raidoc directed his gaze in the same direction as the Guild Master. Sitting at a table there were three beautiful women having tea. Since their gazes were directed towards us, there was no mistaking that they were the Casper Sisters.

"Then we'll handle the rest of the conversation."

"Is that so? Understood. Well then, please take care of us."

Synos bowed his head slightly and then returned to the back.

He's probably extremely busy, so Raidoc must have refrained from bothering him.

"Wow! Aren't those people amazing? They're really beautiful!"

Raidoc responded with a wry smile to Jitaro's excitement.

"Yeah, those are the ones. I've greeted them before."

"Just leave it to me!"

"...Huh?"

Raidoc was momentarily stunned by the unexpected remark. In that moment, Jitaro charged towards the Casper Sisters.

"That idiot!"

Unfortunately, before we could react, another adventurer crossed our path, and we couldn't catch Jitaro. He was on a rampage.

"Hello! I'm Jitaro! Wow! You're all really beautiful! Even more so than the rumors! The one with the pointy hat over there is definitely a witch! And the one over there, is she a ranger? The very short hair suits her well! And here, your loose wavy hair suits you so well! Are you a priestess? Let me treat you to something you like as a sign of getting to know each other!"

"What a moron!?"

The compressed air burst and Jitaro was sent flying backwards.

"...Huh? I held back, but you seem tougher than I thought. Just to be safe, another one."

"W-wait! Hold on!"

Rushing forward, Raidoc and I intervened before the pointed hat.

"Raidoc-san?"

"Our companion was rude! We apologize. Please calm down!"

"I'm sorry! He's completely at fault, but please let it slide!"

We both apologized simultaneously. After looking at Raidoc once, the pointed hat turned her gaze towards me.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Craft. Craft Wolken. I'm with the idiot rolling over there."

"Ah, you're the rumored alchemist."

"I apologize for Jitaro's rudeness. Could you please forgive us and let it go?"

After I apologized, the pointed hat widened her eyes.

"Beautiful!?"

Ah, it might not have been wise to comment on appearance when meeting for the first time.

Seeing her somewhat flustered, I decided to divert the conversation slightly, also as a means of calming her down.

"That magic earlier was amazing. Your chanting was fast, and the power was just right."

"I-is that so?"

Rather than appearance, I praised her magic, and I felt her expression soften slightly.

Yeah, let's go in this direction.

"Anyway, shall we continue the conversation? I apologize for the delayed greeting. I'm Eva Casper, the eldest daughter. I'm the party leader."

"Ah, nice to meet you. Please take care of us."

"No need to greet Raidoc-san, right?"

"Right."

The witch, Eva's gaze. No, the magician, Eva, seemed somewhat cool, as if she was disappointed in Jitaro.

There's no chance, Jitaro.

To regain composure, Eva sighed but didn't mention it further, instead introducing the last member.

"This is Marilyn. She's a priestess, capable of using healing and support magic."

"Nice to meet you."

"Yeah, likewise."

Marilyn, with her loose wavy hair, waved with a gentle smile.

She seems sociable enough.

Basically, it's best to talk to either the leader, Eva, or this Marilyn.

Timing her conversation, Leafan stepped forward and took Eva's hand.

"I'm Leafan Hamann! Just call me Leafan! Eva-san!"

"Leafan...? Are you the chief of the production guild? I heard there's a skilled blacksmith there."

"Yeah. That's me, but we're forming a party together, so I'd like you to feel at ease!"

"I see... understood. Well then, Leafan-san. Nice to meet you."

Eva seemed bewildered by Leafan's enthusiasm, but she smiled and shook hands back.

It seems like we'll get along well with Leafan.

"Ouch... that was surprising, ya know."

Jitaro, who had taken quite a powerful magic, stood up as if nothing had happened.

"...You're quite resilient."

"That's my only boast!"

Jitaro, who doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes, declared his determination.

Well, if it boosts his morale, it's fine.
