Chapter 65.1. The Tour

In the vast open plain, a multitude of magic spears condensed with immense mana were floating.

Spears of burning flames that gleamed like magma.

Spears of ice that exuded coldness, freezing the surroundings.

Pitch-black shadow spears that brought death without a trace.

Magic spears that resembled crystalline mana.

Sakimori manipulated magic, waving his index finger like a conductor's baton. 

In response to his commands, the spears danced through the air, flying in complex, high-speed orbits around the area.

"Destroy the magic! Destroy that magic!"

Goblin King shouted angrily, determined to shoot down the spears that had been flying in the sky for some time. 

It was commanding many of his subordinates, showing signs of impatience.

In the room that appeared on the plain, the Goblin King's forces formed a formation and engaged in battle with their adversaries.

Three Shamans transformed mana into energy waves, attempting to destroy the magic spears flying through the air. However, as the mana waves approached the spears, they evaded and dodged them like leaves carried by the wind, thanks to the distortion of space.

The spears that dodged the magic disruption stopped abruptly in mid-air and charged toward Shamans as if fired from a crossbow. In an instant, Shamans were pierced through, igniting, freezing, and leaving holes as they died.

"Shield bearers!"

Knights with shields took the forefront to defend, but the armed Shadow Tigers charged at them. Lowering their heads, Shadow Tigers rushed forward like buffalos, knocking aside the knights with the force of a speeding truck.

With a clang, tower shields were thrown aside, and Goblin Knights wearing combined plate armor fell. Shadow Tigers pounced on them, using their magically enhanced claws to pierce through.

"Meow!"

"Guah!"

Displaying a ferocity that didn't match their cute meows, they delivered heavy blows that crushed the heads of Goblin Knights, spraying fresh blood.

Similarly, other shield bearers were taken down by Shadow Tigers. In an attempt to counter, a knight at the vanguard swung his sword and rushed to defeat the armed Shadow Tigers, shouting a battle cry.

"Munn!"

The strike aimed not to cut but to crush, using a sword that was more like a crude slab of metal. However, unlike the previous ones, the attack was met with a metallic sound as it bounced off the head of the armed Shadow Tiger, which braced itself on all fours and had a helmet created through magical weaponization.

"Meow, meow!"

Goblin Knight, whose sword attack had been deflected, lost its balance. Taking advantage of this opening, the armed Shadow Tiger extended its claws and delivered a flurry of cat punches, easily slicing through the knight's iron-plated armor and leaving deep claw marks.

As the subordinates fell one after another, the Goblin King grew increasingly panicked and terrified, watching the magician who controlled the magic spears.

"Damn it! If we defeat the magician!"

Seeking a reversal, Goblin King, despite its massive size, displayed agility uncharacteristic of its appearance as it charged forward. Sakimori, with a calm expression, watched the approaching opponent and muttered.

"Here we go."

In response to Sakimori's subtle movement, the spear shifted its aim toward the Goblin King. Pausing in its tracks as the spear approached, the Goblin King surrounded his greatsword with fighting spirit.

I attempted to cut through the spear with a red-hued sword, and it precisely hit the tip of the approaching shadow spear. It seemed like it might cut it through, but...

"Guh?!"

Immediately, the ice spear and magic spear hit its blade and pushed it back. Goblin King, desperate and determined, started putting more strength into it as it struggled against the combined force of the three spears. However, the battle had already been decided.

"It's over."

The last spear, controlled by Sakimori, floated above Goblin King. And the boss monster, noticing it, displayed a look of despair. The fiery spear descended, scattering sparks as it melted the helm on Goblin King's head, pierced its body, and burned him to ashes.

Then, the Goblin King's army was defeated, and they lay lifeless on the ground.

"That's the end of that."

As if stretching out his shoulders to relieve tension, Sakimori rotated his shoulders and yawned with a relaxed expression.

"Wow, that was intense."

"Solo... did you say this was a solo mission-nyan?"

Shingen and Karin, who were in the boss room together, looked at the battle's outcome with shocked expressions.

"Yeah, I said it was an easy solo."

Sakimori casually stated, I mean, I mentioned that I was going solo, right? Even though Shizuku-san is here as my navigator.

"No... I thought maybe there would be at least one more person-nya. But I just realized Sakimori is a pervert-nyan."

"I see. Can I tie your tail into a butterfly knot?"

With a grin, Sakimori moved his hand in a butterfly knot motion, causing Karin to jump back, startled.

"Dark magic is quite something. How many can you create?"

Shingen looked enviously at Shadow Tigers sitting in the plain. 

There were about 15 Armed Shadow Tigers here. After defeating the enemies, they retracted their claws and washed their faces with nyannyanning.

"Normally, I think I can create 3 or 4 at most. But with this skill, you can crush enemies in numbers."

"Is that so? Currently, my maximum is 70."

I think it's based on people's maximum mana. It's a result of my experimentation, so it should be accurate. Weak or strong, the limit seems to be 70. And it appears that familiars don't count towards the dungeon party limit.

"It's an incredible skill-nya! With this, you can fight without losing soldiers-nya!"

"It's not that powerful. Shadow magic is weak against any magic. If someone uses area-of-effect magic, they'll easily wipe them out. So, the only safe bet to defeat is probably Goblin King?"

Even though they've been modified through magic weaponization, I still expect them to struggle against powerful magic.
