13.1. If You Have A Purpose, You Can Fight, Isn't It?

The next morning, after breakfast, the four of us – me, Leafan, Persia, and Jitaro – gathered armed. 

Although I only have a slim staff with my robe.

"Is everyone ready?"

"Yeah. We're carrying only essential items. A bit of water for emergencies and healing potions!"

"I can carry as much as you need. Just keep it light."

"Got it!"

"Marching is quite different... With spatial storage, the formation is quite flexible. Keep it light for speed. Our goal is just herbs. If we're lucky and encounter few enemies, we'll collect magic stones, but that's secondary."

"Understood."

Persia is dressed as usual, with a slightly slim longsword and a spare shortsword. Additionally, a dagger. The longsword seems to be quite a masterpiece.

Armor-wise, she wears the light armor of the Royal Guard. It should provide sufficient defense.

On the other hand, Leafan is equipped more heavily than I imagined.

Half-plate on his small frame.

Furthermore, a thick shield and a giant hammer.

"Leafan? It would be better if you were lighter."

"I'm fine. Look!"

"Whoa!"

Despite the unexpected weight of the iron he's wearing, Leafan moves surprisingly fast.

His movements are linear, indicating he's not the type to dodge attacks but rather intercept them.

Jitaro, from wherever he pulled it, is not in his usual hunter attire. 

He wears hard leather armor, a processed fur jacket, a machete with hardened sharpness, and a large bow slung over his back.

The Bandit style!

It's so fitting that it's hard to suppress a laugh!?

"Jitaro, make sure to apply plenty of sharpness oil to your arrows."

"No problem."

"I'm ready too."

"Same here!"

"Alright. If things go wrong, we can always try again. Don't push yourself too hard. Use potions like water!"

"Understood!"

"Yeah!"

"... Military life is really different. We're advised to use potions sparingly."

"Don't hesitate to use them. You've got plenty to do, right?"

"Yeah. I'll use them without reservation. Though, I don't plan on getting injured."

Persia grinned with a fierce and confident smile.
