Chapter 332.1. Playing In The Snow

-Miu's POV-

Christmas was just around the corner. Mii-chan, who loved festivals, had planned a big event for Christmas.

But, she was urged by her friends to have a party with just them, so she quickly changed the date for the snow festival.

In a few days, on December 20th, we decided to have the snow festival. Tokyo was shrouded in snow. The once-thriving metropolis had turned into a dangerous world dominated by malevolent monsters that roamed the streets due to the grudge of Taira no Masakado. The trees had grown so tall that they almost looked like buildings, and the vegetation had taken over the city, making it an ominous place.

Collapsed ruins, partially standing skyscrapers, buried roads, and rusted cars were all buried in the earth. It was clear that humans were no longer the rulers of this world. 

Normally, people would have to be cautious and watch out for the monsters that lurked in the grass or among the trees, even taking a single step.

Tokyo had turned into a natural forest dungeon, and so far, they had only managed to conquer the shallow outskirts of the city. 

Now, human groups have entered these dangerous areas. Pomeranians led the way, followed by armored cars, large trucks, and water supply vehicles.

We had entered from Kanagawa Prefecture through Kamakura, but we were hardly attacked by monsters. 

The reason was that everything was buried under snow, creating a pure white landscape. Monsters couldn't hide in the trees or grass to launch an attack, so during the winter season, it was possible to enter Tokyo.

In other words, it was the perfect time for a snow festival! 

Mii-chan and her friends were having a blast on an armored tourist bus.

"Yuki, Konkon, Arareya Konkon~"

Mii-chan in her Satan costume swayed her body back and forth, reaching her hand out of the window. 

Tamamo in her Santa costume also swayed her fluffy tail and reached her hand out of the window.

"Combine! Wooden Leaf Ice Storm!"

Mii-chan's ice storm and Tamamo's wooden leaf whirlwind combined, creating a fierce blizzard that swept through the surroundings. The deep snow hardened into solid ice.

"Gyahh!"

I heard the dying screams of the monsters hidden in the snow, but I paid no attention.

"Yuki, Konkon!"

"Wooden leaves, Konkon!"

The synchronized dance of the two was very cute, and the screams of the monsters outside served as the perfect background music.

"I also need to learn long-range attack magic, don't I?"

Dark-haired beauty Yamiyo looked regretful as she watched Mii-chan and the others dancing, taking pictures. Yamiyo never stopped taking pictures, no matter what.

"Let's use the Trinity Magic!"

Energetic Hoku-chan stood up, but the usual two said nothing.

"..."

Sei-chan was lying comfortably in a kotatsu, enjoying the warmth thanks to the magic's cushioning barrier. The tourist bus was a comfortable space with tatami mats in the rear seats.

"..."

Nan-chan took a crab from a pot placed on the kotatsu and silently enjoyed her meal. Her intense expression was enough to make anyone think twice about bothering her.

"Hey, hey, since we're on a trip, let's do our best too!"

Hoku-chan encouraged Sei-chan and the others, but the two remained unmoved. The monster hunting was no match for napping under the kotatsu and enjoying all-you-can-eat crab.

Of course, there was a maid next to them quietly enjoying the crab as well.

"Everyone, I'm glad you're all doing well as always."

Sena said with a gentle and soothing smile.

The attendees for today's snowy landscape were the usual members: Mii-chan, Yamiyo, Tamamo, Sena, Hoku-chan, Sei-chan, and Nan-chan. Ranko and Nimue were accompanying them as caretakers, along with many others.

Papa and the others were also there, riding on another bus, and they were probably having a great time by now. They had some alcoholic drinks made with fire beans that warmed their bodies, so they were likely getting pretty drunk by the time they arrived.

Mii-chan had made it, and she distributed the drinks to the adults with a cheerful smile. The label said it was like sweet sake with cold resistance, so it was a safe drink. 

The flavor text even said it would warm the body and last all day, so if they took a sip, they'd have a warm body all day.

I only learned that drinking the alcohol made them feel warm and got them drunk after papa and the others had drunk it. So it couldn't be helped.

Well, they planned to stay in a safe zone for the night today, so there shouldn't be any problems.

Mii-chan and the others were on a 2-night, 3-day trip called the Snow Festival.

Sena smiled and asked a question.

"What kind of activities are there at the Snow Festival?"

"It's a festival that uses snow, Se-chan. Many adventurers have come along to participate in this festival."

When she heard Snow Festival, Sena seemed to be thinking of the Sapporo Snow Festival and asked in a puzzled tone.

"Indeed, there are so many buses that have come along, just like algamo duck following us."

Tamamo looked out the window and pointed to the convoy of vehicles following us. Nearly a hundred tourist buses with makeshift armor were lined up. They were surrounded by armored vehicles in a spectacular formation.
