19. Sealed Tablet
"Oh, right. I wonder if I can make this demon my servant?"
Well, openly commanding a demon like a familiar might look bad, but...
If I do it secretly, it might be fine. If I can make it my servant, it would be a great asset.
"[Undead: Subjugation]"
I held my hand out toward the bisected demon.
My skill, [Necromancer], allows me to turn undead monsters into servants and control them as my pawns.
However, I can only command undead up to the intermediate level.
For higher levels or above, I can't 'enslave' them.
[At your current skill level, you cannot enslave higher-level undead.]
[You can only seal it into a tablet.]
[Seal it?]
"Huh? What’s with this message—"
It was the first time I'd seen this option.
"Oh, right. My skill only lets me enslave intermediate undead, so I guess this guy is out."
It seems that while Bloodclaw is classified as intermediate as a demon, it counts as higher-level as an undead.
Yeah, that's confusing.
"So I can only seal it into a tablet... Fine, I’ll go with that."
Maybe if I keep that tablet, there might be a way to enslave it later on.
Poof!
White smoke rose from Bloodclaw's corpse, and it transformed into a tablet.
It was about the size of a playing card.
"A sealed tablet, huh."
When I picked it up, it was surprisingly light.
For now, I tossed it into my bag.
"Wow, Shigure... you're incredible..."
"You were that strong...?"
My classmates stared at me, stunned.
"Is everyone alright?"
I looked around at the group.
Most were lightly injured, but a few seemed to have deeper wounds.
"Those with healing magic, take care of the injured."
"I-I'll do it—"
"Me too..."
Two of our members had healing abilities—they were like our healers.
I didn’t even know half of my classmates' skills.
They don’t share much with me, probably because I’m an outsider to them.
Well, whatever. It doesn't matter right now.
And then—
[Tanaka Seishirou and Suzuki Hanagiku have become undead. Make them your servants?]
A message suddenly appeared.
