Egetsu was reunited with his friends. However, at the same time, three college girls were in quite a bit of trouble.

A giant monster spat out white mucus, pinning Machi’s lower body to the dungeon floor.
“What the—!? No way! What is this!?”
“Machi-chan!”
“No, wait… I really can’t move…!!”
“Careful! This monster uses the same tricks as Coach!”
A few hours earlier, the three of them had been patrolling around their apartment complex when they discovered a dungeon a bit further out.
That’s when Machi suggested, “This looks fun! Let’s check it out!”
Unusually, instead of stopping Machi’s reckless behavior, Shizue agreed. “Yeah, it might be a good idea to thin out the dungeon a bit,” she said. And with that, the three ventured inside.
They found familiar dungeon walls, simple layouts, and unremarkable monsters.
With that sense of ease, the three kept advancing deeper and deeper—until they encountered a giant boss-level monster on the third floor.
“What is this thing…? Ugh, it’s disgusting…”
Shizue muttered in disgust. The creature’s appearance was bizarre. Its silhouette resembled a centipede, yet its body was squishy, like a caterpillar. And it was over eight meters long.
“Youuu…!!”
“Machi, stop! Strength alone won’t get you out of that slime!”
Shizue scolded Machi, who was trying to muscle her way out of the mucus.
They had all undergone sticky-slime training with Egetsu. They knew better. But in the face of this threat, Machi had panicked and forgotten everything.
“That’s right, Machi-chan! Look, if we use the [Mucus] skill Coach gave us, we should be able to dissolve this stuff! Come on, let’s do it together!”
“…O-okay. Thanks, Ruu!”
Ruu, who had paid close attention to Egetsu’s teachings, remembered well: magic-infused skills could counteract the abilities used by monsters.

Machi and Ruu activated their [Mucus] skills from inside and out, softening the monster’s white slime.
But just then, Shizue, who had been fending off the boss alone, cried out for help.

Shizue narrowly dodged the massive caterpillar-like creature’s charge, rolling to the side. Even so, given its size, her escapes were barely in time.
“Oh no, if this keeps up, Shizue-chan will…! Wait, I’ve got it! Cricket-chan, help us!”

Ruu summoned a bronze plate, which she infused with magic. This plate summoned a giant cricket—one of the survivors from their previous fight against a giant black spider after it had been force-fed coffee.

The giant cricket bounced wildly, drawing the monster’s attention. The caterpillar-like creature turned its head toward the commotion and began pursuing it, using its antennae, which resembled long tendrils.
“Phew, that was close.”

However, as the monster kept spewing slime to catch the cricket, the dungeon floor became more and more coated, further limiting their ability to escape.
“It’s melting!!”
“You did it, Machi-chan!”

Machi managed to free herself from the slime, but now the giant cricket was caught in it.
“Oh no! Cricket-chan!!”
“If you two can move, do it now! Otherwise, we’ll all get eaten!”

The monstrous caterpillar scuttled toward the trapped cricket, its grotesque limbs writhing as it opened its jaws to devour it.
“Not so fast! Magic charge…! [Strong Arm] Excalibur Slash!!”
“[Compound] charge…! [Agility] and [Stamina] Excalibur Slash!!”

“Kyumoooooooon!!”
The glowing double Excalibur Slash from Machi and Shizue struck the monster’s body, forcing it to writhe in agony.
“Now, Ruu-chan!”
“Ruu!”
“Y-yeah! [Fortification] and [Mucus]…!”
[(Kyuoooo…!)]
Responding to her friends’ support, Ruu boosted her defense with [Fortification], dousing herself in mucus as she sprinted forward.
She activated [Quickness], accelerating instantly. Then, using [Charge] and [Pillage], she lunged straight for the wound on the monster’s body.
(Coach told me… sudden stop, big blast… sudden stop, big blast… sudden stop—!!)
