A Rough Summary Of What We Know So Far
*Dungeons
- They suddenly appeared all over the world, spewing out monsters. Mysterious and troublesome entities.
- Some dungeons are influenced by their surroundings.
- Example: A goblin dungeon appeared at a building construction site, causing construction to halt.
- Some are connected to other spaces.
- Example: Fridge dungeons and crab-in-a-trash-can-lid dungeons.
- They’re fine underwater too.
- Example: A dungeon in the seabed off the coast of Izu.
- The entrances and floors are separated by a pitch-black, rippling substance. Humans can move freely, but monsters seem to be restricted in a normal dungeon.
- The monsters inside constantly increase in number, and once they exceed a certain amount, the dungeon starts spewing them onto the surface.
- Multiple dungeons spewing monsters simultaneously is called a "Monster Stampede."
- Monsters expelled during a Stampede are in a frenzy, making them more violent than usual.
- When a dungeon has expelled enough monsters, its activity weakens and it enters a saturated state. Even then, it still continues to expel monsters, though less than during a Stampede.
*Status
- Can be acquired upon entering a dungeon, allowing one to perceive their abilities numerically.
- It’s perceived mentally, so others can't see it.
- The categories seem to vary from person to person.
- It's influenced by the human subconscious, making it very vague.
- There’s a leveling system, and the human limit seems to be around level 40.
- There are caps on ability scores, and the human limit is about 500.
- Some categories that don’t seem like ability scores appear, and for some reason can exceed 500.
- There are professions, though it’s unclear if one can freely choose or how much influence they have on ability boosts.
- Besides ability scores, there are categories like “Blessings, Skills, and Titles.”
- Rarely, people with status can self-learn skills.
- Having a status also seems to allow people to awaken various powers like skills.
*Monsters
- Ferocious beings that appear in dungeons, resembling creatures from myths and fairy tales.
- When killed, they release life energy, enabling humans to achieve remarkable growth.
- When killed inside a dungeon, they vanish into smoke, leaving behind magic stones and loot.
- They drop skill orbs, which humans can use to acquire skills.
- When killed outside of a dungeon, their bodies remain, but they don’t drop magic stones or loot.
- Monsters can be tamed, and when tamed, they can be turned into cards.
- Once a tamed monster dies, it can’t return to card form.
- By giving life energy to tamed monsters, they can become familiars.
- If the bond is strong enough, it’s possible to “share a soul” with the monster.
- Monsters that share a soul with a human are called “Sachimitama (Good Spirit) or Kushimitama (Strange Spirit).”
- Monsters that share a soul become spiritual entities and reside in the same body.
- There are boss-level monsters, whose power is many times greater than regular monsters.
- The life energy within boss monsters is immense, directly leading to a rise in ability scores.
- Some boss monsters drop a blue magic stone.
- Example: Queen Fly, Giant Red Scorpion, Giant Black Spider.
*Miscellaneous
- Growth is possible through obtaining life energy, but unless one trains properly, the life energy won’t fully integrate, resulting in low-level growth.
- Since levels change with the amount of life energy one holds, it seems level is strongly tied to life energy capacity.
- Magic power is necessary for skill activation.
- Spiritual energy is organized in a hierarchy of "Ki > Aura > Magic," and its quality changes based on its concentration. If compared to explosive fuel, it’d be like “Kerosene > Gasoline > Nitroglycerin.”
- Ki is general spiritual energy, possessed by all humans.
- Aura has highly concentrated Ki, allowing for feats akin to superpowers. It’s possible that some people could use it even before dungeons appeared.
- Magic power is even more concentrated than Aura, and its properties change significantly. It’s difficult to store large amounts of magic power within the body.
