Necromancer 5

Test

5. Heroes of the Class (From the Outcast's Perspective)

"So, you just left Shigure at the ruins?"

Tsukishiro Hazuki glared at them slightly.

This room was given to them, the "Heroes of Another World." In the lounge, about the size of a classroom, the heroes were free to relax.

"I know you guys hate Shigure, but... this is too much."

Hazuki frowned.

Shigure's skill was weak, and he was considered useless in the class.

She saw it that way too.

But leaving him behind at the ruins was going too far. The ruins were filled with monsters and traps, and left alone, he had almost no chance of survival.

Of course, those at the top of the class in combat could survive solo, but Shigure wouldn't make it.

"What if he dies? Let's go rescue him now."

"Rescue? There's no need."

Toudou Ran — the class called him "Ran" — sneered.

He had foreign blood, with the delicate looks of a blond-haired, blue-eyed boy. But inside, he was arrogant and aggressive.

"He's useless anyway."

Ran laughed loudly. He was the de facto leader among them.

"It pisses me off just looking at him."

The one who agreed was Kenzaki Jin.

His face radiated wildness, with an aura of violence. His behavior matched that appearance, being a delinquent.

"Just being weak is enough to make me angry."

"Haha, you're pretty much a musclehead, Kenzaki."

"Yeah, I am."

"Wait, why are you proud? That wasn't a compliment!"

Ran laughed, poking fun at him.

"Hey, enough with the jokes..."

Hazuki interrupted their conversation.

"If we waste time, Shigure might get killed."

"He's got hero skills too. Let him use those and survive."

Ran said.

"In fact, if he crawls back from the ruins alive, I might even give him some credit."

"Yeah. We're in a war against the Demon Lord's army. Being weak is a crime in itself."

Kenzaki smirked.

"If he can't clear some ruins, he should just go ahead and die."

Just as he said that, his face stiffened.

"—Who’s there?"

A gasp.

At the entrance to the lounge stood a single maid. She must have been a palace maid.

"This area is off-limits to anyone but heroes."

Ran walked toward her.

"I-I thought no one was here, so I came to clean—"

"Huh? Did you hear what we were talking about?"

Ran's expression hardened.

They had just been discussing "leaving Shigure behind in the ruins." If that leaked, it would obviously be a problem.

She had to be silenced — that was what Hazuki thought, when suddenly,

bashu.

The maid’s head exploded into pieces. Like a pomegranate.

"W-Wait—"

Hazuki stood there, dumbfounded.

It was Ran's skill attack. He killed the maid without hesitation...

"Silencing her."

Ran said it casually.

Neither laughing nor angry— His expression was as calm as if he had squashed a bug.
