Dungeon Stampede 2.0 Meal Distribution
"So, was that skill called [Charge]?"
"Yes."
"There was a monster like a big boar. I blinded it with acid, and it crashed into a wall and got knocked out. So I told Ruu, 'Now's the perfect chance to use [Plunder],' right?"
"Yes, I also went 'I'll be taking your life!' like a coach would!"
Ah, no, that's more like a period drama. Well, it's kinda similar, I guess.
"I see. So the skill [Charge] enhances charging attacks?"
"That's right. From what I saw, it looked like about +10%. You're at level 2 now, right, Ruu?"
"Yes, the [Charge] skill is level 2."
"Oh! So you've leveled it up on your own through practice? That's amazing, Ruu, great job!"
Yes, hard-earned efforts should be properly acknowledged. As I praised her and patted her on the head, Ruu shyly shrugged her shoulders, clearly happy.
"Hehe... But at first, I thought about giving it to Shizu-chan."
"It's fine, Ruu. I'm more suited to waiting in ambush than charging forward anyway."
"Wait, does that mean the attack power boost is +20%? That's awesome! Ruu, you looked so cool earlier!"
Hmm, true. Nina-san's really good at watching the enemy's movements and countering them.
And Serai-san doesn't ask for much. Compared to the [Charge] skill, which only enhances charging attacks, the [Mighty Arm] skill which boosts all attacks using your arms is far superior.
"I see, both of you have worked really hard. So, did your levels go up too?"
""Yes, they did!""
Oh wow, tell me, tell me!

Hmm... they're strong.
Those slender arms pack the strength of about 30 people. How does that work? Well, I’ve got the strength of 50 people, so I’m not about to lose just yet.
.....
After patrolling the neighborhood, we helped Ruu’s mom with meal distribution in the entrance hall.
Hehe... This time, I came prepared with the Crab Dungeon, learning from past mistakes! Yay! Woohoo! Party time!
In normal times, dungeons have boundaries marked by darkness, preventing monsters from moving between floors. But when a dungeon reaches capacity or enters a Stampede state, those restrictions lift, allowing monsters to move freely across floors.
Taking advantage of this, we’ve been having an all-you-can-eat crab feast during the Stampede, and it seems like that restriction is still lifted, so we’re continuing with the 'endless crab feast'!
But, keeping the lid of the Crab Dungeon’s bucket inside the space created by the [Space] skill takes a lot of magic. Not too long ago, I wouldn’t have been able to maintain this for so long.
The exact mechanics are still unclear, but it seems like 'space within space' is quite the challenge.
However, with the Crab Dungeon, we don’t have to worry about food shortages, so it’s a huge benefit.
So, we’re using ingredients from the Crab Dungeon for the meal distribution, but offering an all-you-can-eat giant crab feast would set unrealistic expectations.
Therefore, I went with something simpler: meal distribution featuring giant mussels. Today’s menu has two options—giant mussel risotto and ajillo.
As expected from a 'giant' mussel, even the shells are enormous.
The shells are as big as a suitcase you'd take on a long international trip. Picture one of those scenes in a movie where the protagonist sits down on their suitcase at the airport, feeling lost—that's how big the shells are.
They’re so big that they make perfect pots for meal distribution.
Risotto, after all, is basically a rice porridge, so it’s not too different from making a typical stew. The Italian word for risotto means something like 'rice is awesome!' So I chopped up some mussel meat, added rice and salt, and threw in some wild garlic I gathered near the riverbank. Then, just let it cook.
Ajillo, which is Spanish for 'garlic-flavored,' only needs garlic and olive oil.
Ruu’s mom received plenty of olive oil and garlic as thanks for the meal distribution, so I just tossed those into the giant mussel pot, threw in large chunks of mussel meat, and let it simmer until it was done.
"Wow, what a nice smell! Looks delicious!"
"Now, now, Nina-san, let’s just stick to tasting."
Normally, Ruu’s mom would just leave the pot in the entrance hall, but today’s special. We’re serving it food stall style.
Why? Because I want to ask the people coming for meals if they have any leftover alcohol at home. I’m not trying to drink it myself, you know. I just want to set up a little gathering to reward the three who worked so hard.
After all, Serai-san joined us on a dangerous adventure, and Ruu and Nina-san gave us the best gifts.
So, I want to thank them properly.
