Chapter 85.2. Water Emperor

Mana-enriched water flowed through the iron pipes, allowing the enemy to cast magic from within them. They were well aware of the effects of the Water Emperor Wall – an invincible barrier that blocked magic and physical attacks for a set duration. However, if the iron pipes were in place from the beginning, the barrier wouldn't be effective.

Looking around, the water's surface was filled with multiple iron pipes, long enough to pass through the wall. Sahagin Emperor, now consumed by anger at the audacity of setting traps in its domain, still retained the effects of the Water Emperor Wall. It couldn't activate a new one until the current barrier disappeared, and in the meantime, its subordinates were dwindling.

Amidst the chaos of battle, the young girl kicked the tiger's back and soared into the air, getting closer to the Sahagin Emperor.

The girl, who seemed on the verge of collapse, used the recoil from being hit by the shotgun to spin around and recover. She then chuckled as if she were enjoying herself.

"Sahagin Emperor, you possess the [Legion Genesis] skill and control Water Emperor magic. Your skill with the spear is also impressive. It seemed her clothes were filled with holes, but they weren't life-threatening. Sahagin Emperor glared at her with its bulging eyes.

Sahagin Emperor quickly rotated its spear, attempting to strike smoothly, but the girl changed her small sword back and entwined the sword tip with the spear, diverting its trajectory.

"Human, you're quite skilled, but your downfall was being in a watery environment."

It seemed that the young girl had good skills but inferior power and speed compared to itself. Moreover, Sahagin Emperor could move much faster in the water, where it had no resistance, compared to a human who was hindered by the water.

As Sahagin Emperor adapted to the girl's attacks, it realized that it couldn't block her continuous strikes and had to shift to defending itself.

It understood that its opponent had superior swordsmanship. However, being in the watery environment controlled by Sahagin Emperor was her mistake. With this realization, It became confident of its victory and delivered a series of sharp thrusts, finally forcing the girl to lose her balance.

With the tip of its spear creating a powerful spinning water current, Sahagin Emperor tried to step in and deliver the finishing blow.

The girl's voice sounded detached and calm.

"You, trying to defeat 2 of us with your army, can't say such things."

Amidst the grating sound of the head possibly being crushed, a voice of disbelief could be heard.

After getting hit by a barrage of 4 powerful magical spears, Sahagin Emperor's body got shattered.

"Let's defeat the remaining monsters and clear our first C-rank dungeon. The water dungeon was easy, thank goodness."

Sakimori let out a sigh of relief upon defeating Sahagin Emperor. In response, Shizuku smiled.

Since Sahagin Emperor always used Water Emperor Wall, the plan was to pass magic through the iron pipes to launch a surprise attack. Then, she would engage in a one-on-one fight with Sahagin Emperor whenever possible. It was simple but effective.

Sakimori ordered Azure Dragon to finish off the remaining Sahagin and decided to ask a question that had been bothering him.

Shizuku puffed out her chest confidently, but Sakimori gave her a skeptical look. Nevertheless, he was satisfied that they had successfully cleared the dungeon.
