Chapter 135.1. Renegotiation

We're heading towards Kinshicho in a truck and an armored vehicle. After heading east, we turned south, making a large detour to avoid encounters with monsters around the Demon Line Fortress.

Of course, there were encounters with monsters. In fact, a battle with kobolds was taking place.

As the kobolds approached, my subordinates, who claimed to be trained in self-proclaimed training, were engaged in battle.

"Uorya! Honda Tadakatsu Blast is here!"

"Whoa! Here comes Honda Tadakatsu Black!"

"Behold the power of Captain Honda Tadakatsu. Soiya."

Although their self-introductions were still ridiculous, the Ooki-kun and others were remarkably skilled in spear handling compared to before. Facing the attacking kobolds, they fought with powerful movements, skillfully wielding their spears. The sharp thrusts were incomparable to before, easily defeating the enemies.

Kobolds moved like wolves, making it difficult to catch them, but Ooki-kun and the others were not fooled and reliably took them down.

"You're doing well. Stronger in hand-to-hand combat than I am."

"Well, we trained hard during the winter. We had to reach this level. Unfortunately, our most promising Hana returned to agriculture."

Yukika proudly looked at me. It's impressive how much stronger she became in just four months. That's truly terrifying, the power of levels.

"Hana has knowledge of plants. Sorry, but she can't handle a spear. By the way, there don't seem to be any orcs around here."

Only kobolds have been attacking since earlier. That's good. That means we can secure the supply line. By the way, didn't Ooki-kun and the others decide on a unified name?

Well, it's fine as long as they can defeat the kobolds without any problems. Armed with a shadow tiger and subordinates with automatic rifles ready to provide support, but it seems they won't be needed.

About twenty kobolds soon judged they couldn't match Ooki-kun and the others and fled. It's the most troublesome when intelligent creatures run away, but it can't be helped.

"How about it, big brother! We've become stronger, haven't we?"

"Yeah, now we can hunt monsters with confidence."

Ooki-kun swung his spear proudly. Indeed, they're impressive. Are all those spears made of iron? It must be quite heavy; ordinary people would struggle to lift it with a few people.

"Orcs are a bit dangerous, but we have to fight them with lower-grade potions."

Yukika, who had been an instructor, calmly assessed the strength of her allies. Then, hunting orcs should be possible.

"Well, we can earn some money here. Just hope it doesn't turn into a war against the monster fortress."

[If they don't come out of the completed fortress, it means they have a high territorial consciousness and, on the other hand, little interest in the outside. I think they won't mind even if we hunt the ones around here. Unlike humans, monsters grow back from the dungeon even if they decrease.]

That's good. I couldn't help but smile. The soldiers here might be able to earn quite easily up to D-rank. The only problem is the consumption of bullets.

"There were guns that could shoot magic bullets by consuming mana, but they were too consumable and weak. They were useless."

There might be something like a magic gun, but Yukika seems to deny it. And Shizuku adds,

"[It's an air pressure gun. It uses air pressure to shoot junk. It's a single shot, and you have to increase the air pressure each time you shoot, but at Level 5, it might be able to defeat C-rank. Serika-chan can make it in her spare time. Or a crossbow would work too.]"

"So, it falls under the category of marksmanship. Serika again..."

It looks somewhat uneasy as a gun, but I might consult Serika later. I have a feeling I'll just be ripped off.

After running for a while, they reach the fortress gate on the north side of Kinshicho. Arriving with the sound of the car, the truck enters with the armored vehicle.

"Oh. They really came!"

"It seems they have food loaded."

"Not from our country, it seems."

Entering the residential area, people come closer in excitement. Unlike the people in the ruins, they are neat but thin. I understand they were eagerly waiting for support, but the spread of information has been quite fast since yesterday.

After a short wait, Masamune and the others, who received a radio contact, arrive in a jeep. That jeep is mine, right? Well, I'd like a radio communicator too. I'll ask later if they can share it with me.

"It seems you've come safely."

"Yeah, we brought our main products. Sweet potatoes, corn, cabbage, soybeans, salt, and oil."

Masamune and the others look relieved at the mention of oil, and they signal to resume negotiations inside the building. So, we follow them.

"Hurry up and distribute it."

"I'm hungry."

"Where should we line up?"

People gather excitedly, expecting distribution, their eyes shining with anticipation. I smile and put my hand on Ooki-kun's shoulder.

"Explain about our company. It's not distribution. It's a product."

"What! To these eyes full of expectation?"

"That's right. Come on, I look like a menacing guy. Let Ooki who brings comfort to people, explain."

He seems like a guy you can approach more easily than the all-black old man. I'm counting on you to alleviate the awkward atmosphere. Daiki also happily raises both hands in a V shape.

So, with high spirits, Daiki and the others who stayed behind are left behind, and negotiations resume in the same room.
