Chapter 91.1. Clown

The limousine tumbled over with a deafening roar, causing intense vibrations. Konoha, who had fastened her seatbelt, managed to remain somewhat composed, but the maid had her head colliding with the window and her body thrown against the car, letting out a painful groan.

It seems the maid endured the impact using her combat skills. She's not only Konoha's bodyguard but also a strong individual, equipped with protective skills.

"What in the world is happening?"

The car had flipped but remained intact. It was a robust vehicle made of magical alloy, capable of withstanding even anti-tank projectiles. However, withstanding was one thing; absorbing the impact was another.

We had suffered a powerful attack. Konoha hastily removed her seatbelt, and by her side, the maid swiftly retrieved two small palm-sized shields from under her skirt, strapping them to her arms. Her serious expression contrasted with earlier; she sensed impending danger.

Opening the door and crawling outside to assess the situation, a breathtaking scene unfolded around us.

People were running in panic.

"Ahh!"

"Monsters!"

"It's a dungeon!"

Numerous people were desperately fleeing, and alongside us, a volleyball-sized fireball raced through the air at high speed. When the fireball struck a stationary car, it exploded as if it were a shell impact.

People standing near the exploding cars were caught in the blast and fell. Several more fireballs were flying about, engulfing the city in flames, and creating a dire situation.

"Miss, it appears a dungeon has emerged! Monsters are roaming."

Further down the road, where the fireballs had originated, 5 2-legged monsters, approximately 3 meters tall, with muscular bodies and arms and legs like tree trunks, were standing. Their reptilian eyes protruded, and their mouths resembled alligators with sharp teeth. If bitten, there would likely be no chance of survival.

Their torsos were covered in dragon-like scales, glistening with a deep blue gem-like hue. They possessed knife-sharp claws on their hands, and with each step, they produced heavy footsteps.

[Dragon's Breath]

Opening their alligator-like mouths, they generated fireballs that soared through the air, causing another house to explode.

"We need to exterminate these monsters!"

Konoha, following the maid, drew the two small swords hanging from her waist. Her [Clown] level was 3, and her stats were high; common monsters posed no threat to her.

As Konoha prepared to confront the monsters, a man stepped forward.

"Clown, stay back!"

The man brandished a staff adorned with a gemstone at its tip and looked down upon them with disdain.

Glancing quickly, she saw that he was accompanied by his guards, her classmates from earlier who had been joking around. Apparently, like Konoha and her maid, they had been caught up in the incident during their ride home. He was getting pumped up, focusing his energy.

As he channeled his mana, the gemstone at the staff's tip began to glow.

[Flamestorm]

A storm of flames engulfed the alligator-like creatures, burning them with scorching heat. Watching this, the boy turned to Konoha with a proud expression.

"Did you see that? I defeated these guys! I'm not like some useless rich girl. I'll make a name for the family and become a hero!"

Konoha was taken aback by the boy's proclamation, but the magic he had just used was indeed impressive. She knew she couldn't have done it herself, but before she could react, another fireball was coming their way.

"What?!"

"Young master, step back!"

One of the guards stepped forward in front of the boy, extending a collapsible shield to block the incoming fireball.

With a clank, a hexagonal shield materialized in front of the guard, successfully protecting him from the explosion when the fireball struck.

However, four more fireballs came in quick succession and shattered the shield, blowing the guard and the boy behind him into the air. They bounced along the road and fell to the ground. The guard was trembling, but it seemed his high stats had saved him from death.

Looking at where the fireballs had come from, a different enemy stood ready. The road was destroyed, the street bulged, and the entrance to the dungeon had appeared. Dozens of alligator-like creatures were crawling out from within.

"A dungeon has appeared. Residents in the vicinity, please evacuate immediately. Take refuge in the nearest shelter and wait for safety to be ensured."

The automated announcement echoed, and I could hear panic cries from all around. Those monsters had emerged from various locations. Flames were erupting from restaurants, buildings were collapsing in explosions, and glass shards were raining down from shattered windows.

The alligator-like creatures were charging towards us with heavy footsteps.

"We didn't want to be taken out so easily!"

People had not finished evacuating yet. Those capable of fighting needed to buy time.

At that moment, a girl in front of a crepe shop caught her attention. She was calmly enjoying a crepe, seemingly unaware of the chaos. She was a petite, timid-looking girl with droopy eyes, frozen in fear.

"Hurry, run! [Clown]"

Konoha readied her short swords and activated [Clown]. Her appearance transformed into that of a circus clown, with pure white face paint and teardrop patterns.

She despised this skill.

"Oh, [Clown] is quite rare. It excels at acrobatics and has many tricky attacks. Unfortunately, it lacks firepower, o it's only suitable for support. After all, it can only carry short swords."

The girl, while munching on her crepe, commented nonchalantly, which surprised Konoha, but she quickly regained her composure.

[Clown's Mirage]

Multiple clones appeared and confronted the enemies. The monsters quickly cut through the clones.

[Clown's Balls]

I created several balls in my hand and threw them at the monsters. Upon impact, they exploded.
