Chapter 321.2. Duke Kanna's Trump Card

-Emperor's POV-

[Knight's Dance]

Mana surges from the demon swords, forming semi-transparent knights who swing their swords.

 Each of their attacks is incredibly swift, making it difficult to even see.

"Kuh, well done!"

With the light swords sealed, Touya employs his next fastest technique to defend against the knights. As the first knight charges, Touya narrowly dodges and swings his Wind Sword horizontally, cutting down two knights who attack simultaneously from his left and right.

A knight spins from behind, using the centrifugal force to power an attack. Touya's shoulder gets grazed, and he manages to fend off the remaining knights approaching from all sides, although he can't block some of their attacks.

"Auto attacks shouldn't have this much power. This is troublesome."

Blood scatters in the air as Touya glares at Duke Kanna in agony. Duke Kanna, however, stands by without attacking from behind the knights, simply observing.

If it were just a high vantage point for leisurely observation, Toya could have seized an opportunity to attack, but this wasn't the case.

However, Touya and his allies no longer have any leeway. These knights are formidable, and his allies are being pushed back. It's only a matter of time before they are defeated.

While his heart warns him to seize the enemy's opening and strike, there are no longer any choices to be made. It was time to use the Emperor's secret technique, passed down from the founder.

Covered in blood, unable to stop the bleeding, Touya makes his decision. He allows his blood to flow into the air, creating a secret formation around Duke Kamnashi.

Before Duke Kanna can sense anything amiss, Touya channels his mana into the flowing blood.

"Farewell, Duke Kanna."

[Blood Flame]

Touya uses magic used by the founder when escaping from Honnoji Temple. It's a simple magic that transforms blood into flames. However, it's also a deadly spell.

A whirlwind of blood flames swirls like a tsunami towards Duke Kamnashi. The vast, mana-infused flames fill the space.

"What is this!?"

Duke Kanna is surprised, but it's already too late.

A secret magic passed down to the Emperor. It uses one's blood as a sacrifice to turn it into flames, which incinerate the target from within.

The founder used this spell to turn the entire attacking force of the Akechi army into burning kindling. Due to its terrifying power, it was a magic known only to the Emperor.

Every drop of blood transforms into a stacked layer of magic, capable of breaking through any number of defenses and burning the enemy to ashes.

However, Duke Kanna, without panic, wears a composed smile.

"Marvelous. So the Emperor possesses such magic. I can now witness your true power."

[Silence Field]

Duke Kanna waves his hand cheerfully, and the [Blood Flame] spell disappears as if it never existed. The magic, which should have been impossible to defend against or negate, vanishes instantly. 

"What!"

That's leaving Touya in shock and disbelief. The flow of mana had vanished within a split second, with no trace left behind.

"But destiny remains unchanged. And this time, I'm slightly different."

Duke Kanna's golden armor, including his shoulder and chest plates, unfolds and expands dramatically. Golden circuits run through his skin like capillaries, and his hair turns into gold. 

An explosive amount of mana emanates from Duke Kanna, creating a whirlwind of golden particles that fill the world.

"Will, power, and opportunity. These will elevate me to the position of Emperor! Farewell, former Emperor!"

Duke Kanna, with a triumphant smile, creates a beautiful, layered magic circle in front of him. A massive flash of light illuminates the surroundings.

"The end has come!"

[Gjallarhorn]

A sound like a horn is emitted from the magic circle. The sky trembles due to the sound waves, distorting the entire world.

"I never thought you had this much power..."

Everything shatters and collapses due to the violence of the sound. Space itself vanishes, and a vacuum is created.

At that moment, Genshin Touya was shattered into pieces by the sound of impending doom, disappearing without a trace.

Everything in a straight line is disintegrated. The walls of the hotel vanish, allowing the wind to flow in and make Duke Kanna's hair flutter.

Duke Kann reverts his expanded armor and smiles contentedly.

"Farewell, Emperor. The next Emperor will be better than you. And there will be no more deaths for you."

He mutters softly, then turns to those around him, clenching his fist in front of his chest.

"Rebels! Kanna Yamato has defeated the tyrant Emperor. Surrender quietly!"

"You traitor! Even if I'm the last one, I'll kill you!"

As there is no sign of surrender from Ouga and his subordinates, Duke Kanna shrugs his shoulders.

"Well, then, it can't be helped. Wipe the remnant out."

But before he can order the annihilation, he steps back, his eyes stern.

A young girl's battle cry echoes.

"Woooah!"

From a hole in the wall, a semi-transparent van flies in. It lands on the floor, drifts to a stop with screeching brakes, and a girl leaps out.

"Takano Miu! Is here!"

The gray-haired girl, whom Duke Kanna recognizes, strikes a pose and introduces herself.

"Hah, just in time. With this, the threads of destiny will be woven."

Duke Kanna shows a pleased smile as the final piece falls into place.
