Chapter 60.2. Terrain

[Water Burst]

Shizuku speaks dispassionately. Azure Dragon, realizing that it can't inflict fatal damage even if it's wounded, stops its movements and begins concentrating mana to use an area-of-effect spell.

A vast amount of mana gathered before Azure Dragon, and scorching hot water vapor forms into a single sphere. If it were to explode, the surrounding area would be blown away.

Watching this, the girl cutely covers her mouth and giggles. She descends onto Azure Dragon's body without fleeing, stepping lightly and leisurely onto its shadow.

"This magic is powerful when there are no obstacles in the water, and you're at a distance. But to use it up close. Do you think I'd be scared and run away?"

With a metallic clinking sound, Shizuku inserts her spear into the gaps in the scales and starts peeling them off using the lever principle.

"Activation time: 8 seconds. Thanks for the bonus time. I won't get hurt by my magic. In that case, what will happen to me hiding in your shadow?"

As she watches the scales fall to the ground, making sounds like clinking metal, Shizuku smirks lightly. She expertly peels off scale after scale.

"The Shizuku Mask strategy is about fighting calmly. Feeling in danger and throwing your meaty legs into a river won't help. Unless there are piranhas, I don't think you'll get eaten just because a fish bit you."

With a crescent-shaped smile, she thrusts her spear into the exposed flesh where scales have been removed and circulates combat energy through her petite body.

[Circle Lance]

The spear, cloaked in a red aura, spins rapidly, scattering the chunks of flesh like they've been caught in a blender. Blood splatters onto Shizuku's body, staining it red.

The panicked Azure Dragon releases its magic. The sphere of superheated water vapor explodes, blowing everything around it away. Trees are scorched and toppled by the intense heat, resembling a missile explosion.

Furthermore, the explosion of water vapor blankets the entire area in a blinding white mist, obscuring vision. Azure Dragon casts its maximum magic, and attempts to move in a hurry, noticing the change in its opponent's presence.

But it's already too late.

Feeling a magic power that surpasses its own within the water vapor, Azure Dragon experiences a strong impact. The body, with scales peeled off, is pierced and sent flying.

As the severed body parts bounce and crash on the ground with a thunderous noise, the mist caused by the water vapor dissipates, and the presence returns to normal.

In pain and agony, Azure Dragon sees the girl approaching with her spear casually on her shoulder. The girl, now covered in backflowing blood, looks far from human, resembling a monster. Despite being a monster, Azure Dragon can't help but tremble in fear.

"Despite having stats, skills, and most things that surpass me, you lost. Your intelligence should be at least human-level or more, yet you came to kill me without considering the disadvantageous terrain. Did you give in to your appetite? Or did you get too drunk on your power? Soaking in water too long, did your brain get mushy?"

[Water Sorcerer]

As Shizuku approaches with her spear held, Azure Dragon releases magic.

It creates several water rings, starts spinning rapidly, and advances towards Shizuku. The sound of slicing water resonates as the approaching magic crescent moons collide with Shizuku's spear. She thrusts it out, swaying it gracefully.

[Parry]

The watery crescent moons strike her spear and are deflected. Shizuku uses her spear to easily repel the sorcerer approaching from all sides, skillfully parrying the attacks one by one.

Realizing that its attacks aren't getting through, Azure Dragon musters its last strength, opens its mouth wide, and extends sharp-looking fangs like a giant razor toward Shizuku as it crawls on the ground to attack.

Shizuku lowers her stance, focuses combat energy on her spear, and envelops herself in a red aura.

[Circle Charge]

The aura wraps around the spear, transforming it into a massive red blade that spins rapidly. Shizuku stomps the ground heavily, then thrusts the spear towards Azure Dragon's mouth.

The spear pierces the soft interior of the mouth, and Shizuku charges forward, pulverizing the flesh mass and pushing into it. She continues through and emerges forcefully from the opposite side.

Chunks of flesh and scales hang in the air, and Shizuku lands with a thud. Behind her, the weakened dragon collapses its massive body onto the ground.

Shizuku's powerful strike, combined with the stress of the battle, causes the spear that had been used by Sahuagin Leader to make a creaking sound, and finally snap. She sighs and casually tosses it aside.

"That was a close one. In a watery environment, my chances would have been slim."

She gazes at her blood-soaked body, her face contorting in disgust.

"I wonder where you can buy swimsuits. I still think I can swim."

Feeling a bit self-conscious that Sakimori might be scared of her in this state, she hesitates but ultimately decides to wear a bikini. The seasoned man, who had been circling the defeated dragon in his astral form, doesn't seem to care and is more interested in something unusual.

With her mouth slightly pursed in dissatisfaction, she pouts and turns around.

"So, how long do you plan to keep peeping?"

In Shizuku's line of sight, there's a green sphere with a semi-transparent-winged girl at its center. She had been fluttering around observing Shizuku since earlier. She's likely one of the military personnel from earlier.
