28.1. All That's Well Ends Well! Isn't It?
On that day, all the residents gathered in the plaza of Golden Dawn Village.
The dragon's head had already been stored in spatial storage, so its appearance remained unchanged.
The reason for such a large gathering was that Kyle was going to visit the Border Viscount of Veil Road to report.
"Raidoc-san, I'm counting on you to look after the village."
"Yes, leave it to me."
"I'm glad you were here to help."
"I've received sufficient compensation, so it's fine."
Raidoc winked and tapped the sword at his waist.
This was a specially made sword crafted by Leafan using powdered dragon claws and hard mithril, as payment for guarding the village.
It was even more powerful than a regular hard mithril sword.
By all accounts, it was a national treasure-level weapon.
Incidentally, Alphard and Persia also received weapons made of the same material, though with different designs.
A carriage was prepared, with Kyle and Mina alternating rides along with two guards.
Since our belongings stored in my spatial storage, the rest of the party walked.
The party consisted of me, Leafan, Kyle, Myrna, Alphard, Persia, and inexplicably, Jitaro.
"Ugh... I don't want to stay in the village for a while."
"Ah, I understand, I understand."
Jitaro got rejected by Solar. So he's strongly expressed his desire to accompany us, so we reluctantly agreed with a wry smile.
And there were the adventurer party escorts.
One of the parties that distinguished themselves in dragon subjugation, their abilities were assured.
"Shirura-san, it will be tough, but do your best."
"Yes, I will do my best!"
Shirura-san, the widow who managed the general store, replied with anxiety and determination.
Currently, hers was the only store dealing with potions, so she was extremely busy.
I handed over all the remaining inventory, so hopefully, it would suffice until we returned. Probably.
"Kyle-sama, please grant permission for the sale of mithril!"
"I'll discuss that with my father, so please wait a moment."
"At that time, if you could rely on Akindo here, you won't be disappointed."
"Hey! No cutting in line!"
"Kyle-sama! We can offer more..."
"I understand your feelings, but Kyle-sama is busy! Please submit your petition in writing!"
"Oh, Persia-san..."
"I-I understand. I just couldn't help..."
"Hmm. I acknowledge your enthusiasm for business, but I've never dealt with this type before, so I'm not sure how to handle it."
"That should be fine."
"Is that so?"
When Persia gave them a sharp look, the merchants kept their distance, which was sufficient.
"Craft-san!"
"Hm?"
"Thanks to you, we made it through! Please don't stay with the marquis!"
"Haha. I have no intention of doing that."
I want to help Kyle.
I want to be there for that boy who endured so much unjustly.
"But..."
"It's okay. We also have a contract with the guild."
"Right! Of course! We'll count on you, Lord Kyle!"
"Leave it to me."
I answered confidently.
It goes without saying.
He's my dear brother. I'll help him.
If anyone bullies him, I'll beat them up!
"Is everyone ready to go?"
"Yes."
"Well then... Here we go!"
"""Hooray for Kyle-sama! Hooray for Craft-san! Hooray for Kyle-sama!!"""
It's nice of the villagers to send us off with three cheers, but they don't need to mention my name.
And so, we set off for the Viscount Veil Road's estate.
