Chapter 104. Dwarf Village
Under the evening sky.
We followed Baldur-san, who offered to guide us to our lodging, through the Dwarf village.
The village was built on the slope of a mountain, with terraced structures. As a result, it has stairs and slopes scattered throughout the village, and we had to go up and down them frequently.
As seekers, it wasn't a big deal for us. If we weren't, we would have quickly become exhausted.
Living in a village like this would likely strengthen the legs and back of ordinary people.
Every time Baldur-san passed by other dwarves, he cheerfully exchanged greetings.
In a village of this size, it seems like everyone knows each other.
However, when Baldur-san called out to a gloomy-looking male dwarf, I felt a slight unease.
"Hey, Gordon. Where are you off to with a hidden bottle of liquor? Haha, I see. You're planning to 'attack' Belga again?"
When Baldur-san called out, the gloomy dwarf, who was holding a bottle of liquor, trembled with surprise.
Then, he glared at Baldr-san and said this.
"You can look down on me while you still can, Baldur."
The gloomy dwarf ignored Baldr-san and us and passed by.
Watching him go, Baldur-san let out a small sigh.
"That guy never changes. Sorry about that, folks. Gordon has always had a twisted nature."
"Well, it's not a big deal."
"But 'Attack' means it's not about detergent or something. Is it part of the dwarf culture to carry a bottle of liquor and make a move? Oh, but maybe it's different for Kazane-san?"
"Well, I enjoy drinking, but that's a bit..."
"Hahaha. Well, even we dwarves have different ways of doing things. Now, the inn is just up ahead. The workshop over there is mine, 3 buildings down."
Without paying much more attention, Baldur-san continued ahead.
But I couldn't help but feel a dark presence behind the dwarf who had just passed by, and it bothered me oddly.

"We've arrived. Hey, Dharma, I brought some guests."
Upon arriving in front of an inn, Baldur-san opened the door as if it were his familiar home.
It seemed that this was the only inn in the village, leaving us with no other options.
When we entered the inn, a kind-looking old dwarf grandma was sitting behind the counter.
"Oh, Baldur, welcome back. And we have human guests too. Welcome! How about the rooms? We have a three-person room as well."
"No, if it's available, we'll take two separate rooms for men and women... Mmmph."
"We'll take the three-person room, please. That's okay with you, Hotaru-chan?"
"Of course, that's fine. It would be pitiful for senpai to be alone in a separate room."
I was silenced from behind by Kazane-san and had my speaking rights taken away.
Um, excuse me, you two...?
The dwarf grandma chuckled and then stood up with some effort, using her cane to guide us to the room.
By the way, Baldur-san left as soon as he guided us to the inn as if he's done his task.
Feeling disgruntled, I followed the dwarf grandma.
I glanced at Kazane-san walking beside me and voiced my complaint.
"Um, Kazane-san. It's fine if you want to tease and play around, but please do it in moderation, or my brakes might break someday."
"Well, it's not just about teasing, you know. Daichi-kun, do you dislike sharing a room with me?"
"Well... it's not that I dislike it. It's more about the issue of men and women sharing a room. Yesterday was understandable because it was unavoidable... And Yuzuki, what are you thinking?"
"Senpai should be fine, right? Besides, being alone can be lonely and unsettling. If it were me, I wouldn't be able to stand being alone in a room in another world."
"Well... I suppose that's true, but..."
"That's the point. It's more reassuring to have the three of us together. Besides, Hotaru-chan and I agree with it, and Daichi-kun doesn't seem to mind. Do you have any other issues beyond that?"
"Well, I guess not..."
In this manner, they ignored my protests, and we stayed in the same room together.
We were led by the dwarf grandma, to the three-person room.
The room wasn't overly cramped, providing a comfortable space.
It was well-cleaned and had a sense of cleanliness, and the 3 beds were not dwarf-sized, allowing us to stretch our legs even when lying down.
Each of us claimed one bed and finally settled down.
The dwarf grandma handed us the key and left.
"Well then, shall we check our level up and skills?"
"Yes, it's the first time since coming to this world."
"I wonder if any new skills are available at level 26?"
"There's a good chance of that."
Upon arriving at this village and leveling up through mission experience, we check our statuses.
