Chapter 76. 8th Floor (4)
Our dive for the 8th floor continued without any problems.
The encounters with monsters were like all the previously mentioned.
We fought 7 Giant Vipers, 3 Saber Tigers, 5 Death Spiders, and 5 Saber Tigers, and made it through.
I also leveled up in the battle with the five saber tigers, reaching level 20.

I had a hard time deciding on the allocation of skills.
I took out the skills that I wanted to acquire urgently, but there are several next-level skills that I would like to have if I had more skill points left over.
I may acquire [Item Box] for convenience, or I may get [Magic Up (+1)] for improved MP and magic effects.
I can also get [Agility Up (+1)] to strengthen my weak points, or [Strength Up (+1)] to increase my [Triple Strikes] power.
However, after much deliberation, I leave the skill points unused.
At level 21, I expect new skills will get added to the list of skills I can acquire.
We continued our search.
But we were already on our way home.
It was around 15:00 when we were about 20% of the way through the eighth layer of the map.
Considering it would take more than two hours to return home, it was time to go home.
Incidentally, although saber tigers had appeared many times today, we had not encountered another type of monster that had appeared for the first time in the eighth layer.
Is it possible that we will never encounter it again?
Is there some data oversight, or is it a rare monster or something?
With these doubts in our minds, we were walking back home when...
We finally encountered it.
"Wow, there it is, the Madflower! It's huge!"
Yuzuki shouted as she readied her wand and envelops herself in her magical power's shines.
Kazane-san and I also took a stance to intercept the monster.
It was a huge plant-shaped monster with a distorted appearance.
It was four to five meters tall, with several huge, colorful flowers blooming near its highest point.
The shape of the flowers looked like a large hibiscus.
There are several flowers of different colors, such as red, white, and yellow, on the same individual.
What is even stranger is the stem.
Dozens of stems as thick as a person's arm are intricately intertwined to form the shape of a thick tree trunk.
The roots are not buried in the ground but can wiggle around like legs, moving across the earth's surface.
In addition, several strands of ivy extending out like arms were swaying around the main body.
It was said that it attacked by twisting them like a whip.
The monster's name is Madflower.
There were 3 of them.
The three Madflowers were dexterously using their roots to come toward us.
They're quite fast.
"The ivy has a long reach. So the other side will lead in close combat. Yuzuki, be careful of the ivy's spacing."
"I know, I know. I'm not into being whipped and feeling good about it."
"They also spray pollen that has a paralyzing effect? It's a bit of a peculiar monster, isn't it?"
These monsters are a different kind of monster from the ones we have encountered so far.
Its HP is so high that it is close to Mutant Ape, and it's not an opponent that would normally be easy to defeat.
However, it has one weakness.
In terms of pure strength, but in terms of compatibility, our party has a good match for this monster.
"Yuzuki, give it a go!"
"Leave it to me! Lance of Purgatory, burn up this enemy──[Flame Lance]!"
From the staff's tip raised by Yuzuki, a burning mass shaped like a spear is shot out.
The fire-attribute attack, the weak point attribute of plant-type monsters, struck one of the Madflower flowers, engulfing its entire body in flames.
