Chapter 64.2. Masatoshi Meets The Heroine
-Masatoshi's POV-
It's to imitate Shin. Treat Seina as an ordinary friend, without treating her as special. That was his secret plan.
He wasn't sure if he could do such a thing, but Masatoshi, being a god, thought that he could manage it. After all, he had experience dating many women. Women on the monitor to be exact.
The experience with women in video games wouldn't be applicable in real life. Even Masatoshi understands that much.
But this is the world of fiction. This world full of cheesy dialogue that makes his belly laugh and exaggerated reactions are no problem. His common sense from his previous life is different. He firmly believed that his game experience must be useful.
"Surprisingly, Aguni-sama seemed to like this kind of party."
"Ah ....... Does it look that way to you? Then I'm relieved to hear that you seem to be doing well."
"Oh, so it's not as it seems."
Seeing Sena giggles, a live heroine, a girl popping out of the monitor, he grinned, and his nose puffed out, and oops, he held my mouth to prevent his prickly smile from being seen.
But he still can't contain his excitement to see the heroine of The Night of Magic, of which he was a big fan, right in front of him. He promised that he would get her, and he clenched my hand tightly.
Then, after a little chatting. Masatoshi, who knew the story behind the story from the book, stuck close to Sena. He knew what was going to happen next.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!"
The occasion began when Shin bumped into the maid with the wine on top. The maid, with her gurney glasses and smoldering brown hair, bumped into Sena, and the wine soaked her clothes.
"Mo, I'm sorry."
"No, it was my fault for looking away."
Wow, as expected of the main character. He's generous to people other than the Duke Kanna family, and the villains. He smiled softly and waved his hand to forgive the maid. Masatoshi was aware, though. Sena casually grabbed the maid's leg and made sure that her wine covered Shin.
Mischievously, Sena let out a small laugh and stuck out her tongue. Shin also noticed this, which was one reason he didn't get angry.
"Oh my, Shin, why don't we go to the waiting room and change?"
With a clap of her hands, Sena tugged on Shin's hand. The maid hurriedly follows her, and they hobble off to the anteroom.
"I'll go with you, Genshin Sena."
How they moved was the only thing he wondered, but he followed, satisfied that this was the way they did it.
Sena thought about it for a bit, but she must have thought it was no problem when he smiled at her.
"May I call you Masatoshi-san? I'm fine with Sena too. Let's go then."
I did it, Masatoshi is inwardly gut-punched. It was a step forward, he laughed.
In the anteroom, an impatient maid took off Shin's clothes, and I guess they know what to do when they get these clothes dirty. She brought him new clothes.
"I am sorry, sir. I will also wipe that necklace for you."
"Oh, yes. Thank you."
It must have been sticky from the wine. Shin took off the necklace to wipe it too, and the maid carefully wrapped it in a handkerchief and wiped it. Masatoshi, knowing that the ring was the last sacred artifact that sealed the demon god, was somewhat concerned and looked at it, but there was nothing suspicious about it, and the maid finished wiping it off and handed it back to Shin.
There was no event in the story where the ring gets taken away from Shin, but he was somewhat relieved. He doesn't know why, though.
"Shin-san, Masatoshi-san, what do you think of these clothes?"
After coming to the waiting room, Sena, who had moved to the next room, appears in a new outfit. It's a small, clean, but slightly expensive dress. It looks like a one-piece suit for a commoner. And her beautiful silver hair has turned a dull brown, and she has put on a pair of circular glasses.
"I've disguised myself. How do you like it? Can you recognize me?"
"No, I don't recognize you."
"Indeed. What's wrong with your appearance?"
Shin chuckles and puts the necklace with the rusty ring back on again. Masatoshi knows about it, but he's deliberately surprised.
"That's right... Oh, before that, you're already done. Also, please tell me what you saw here."
"Yes, I'm sorry. Now, if you'll excuse me."
Sena told the maid to leave the room, and she bowed reverently and left. When they were the only ones left, Sena put her index finger on her mouth and smiled wickedly.
"Why don't we sneak off to the party in the commoner section? There's a secret transition team. Let's go there quickly, have fun, and sneak back home."
"Are you serious?"
"Just a little, just a little. So, Masatoshi-san, please change your clothes, too, okay?"
Shin must have heard that. But he knew that Sena was going to the party in the commoner's section.
After all, this party was the signal to start the original story.
This party would be the turning point. The story of a power struggle between the royal family and the noble. And this event would become the basis of the original story.
With a chuckle inside, Sena led Shin and Masatoshi to the secret transfer camp.
The maid before was dressed like the current Sena, but Masatoshi, whose heart was filled with excitement at the upcoming event, quickly forgot such trivial matters.
